The good, the bad and the ugly
Forty seven Seniors from Melton Mowbray GC travelled to Kibworth to support Dick Chapman’s away day at Kibworth Golf Club. The format for the day was a 4 ball Stableford with 2 scores to count on all holes. Everyone was given a very warm welcome from the golf club staff and bacon with coffee was the order of the day. It was overcast to start, but the clouds soon dispersed to give way to very humid and warm sunshine. The golf was followed by a 2 course meal, coffee and prize giving.
The overall winners were Bob Purkis, Glenn Price, Joe Carrington and Bob Lemon with 83 pts. In 2nd place were Haydn Snow, Don Benzie, David McKain and Mick McDonald with 81 pts. In 3rd were David Bentley, Jim McQuillan, Pat Lee and Nigel Vernon with 80 pts.
