The first round of the George Houghton Trophy was played on Tuesday March 17th. In tricky conditions scoring was at a premium with a close finish for the first four places.
1st with 36 points was Adrian Green
2nd with 35 points Don Povey
3rd with 34 points Joe Carrington
4th with 33 points Dave Wells
Next week sees the 2nd round but with the best four out of six rounds to count there is a long way to go before the winner will be decided.
