The 5th round of the Autumn Trophy took place on the 18th January. The shotgun start competition was well supported with the competition for the actual trophy hotting up. In first place were Pete Poolan, Andy Westwood, Mark Gamble & James Daulby, second Steve Goddard, Mezz Watchorn, Dick Chapman & Al Terzza and third Dave Poolan, Matt Thompson, Steve Riley & Cliff Daulby. Billy Kevan won the nearest the pin prize.
The course had stood up well to the heavy overnight rain for the Saturday four ball Texas Scramble played at the weekend. The winners were Matt and Ray Catton with David Haylock and Gary Kitchen with a net 58. In second place were Andrew and Josh Blunt with Gerry Stephens and Eddie Cham 59.1 and third, John Harvey, John Burgess, Simon Palmer and Chris Shardlow.
The Monday morning minglers have seen different couples in the results mix making the winter long competition for the mingles trophy a close one. On the 19th January the winners were; Geoff and Liz Clark net 36.2, 2nd Terry and Julia Brown, net 36.4 and third Denis Dayman and Alison Gatward net 36.8. The Best Four ball was John Squires, Bettyne Norton, Geoff and Liz Clark combined net 78.2
The 26th January resulted in senior Captain, Haydn Snow and new Lady Vice Captain Liz Snow taking the first spot with a net 30.2, second was Geoff and Liz Clark net 36.2 and third Bob Luke and Chris Cook and also new Lady Captain, Karen Middleton with husband Steve both pairs scoring nett 37.4 The best four ball was John Squires, Bettyne Norton with Haydn and Liz Snow net 73.2
