Winter clothing in May!
On a very cold and wet Thursday in May, Melton Mowbray Ladies’ section travelled to Beedles Lake for the first handicap match of the season. Woolly hats and waterproofs were a necessity for the whole team, but the course was in excellent condition despite the tricky conditions. All the matches were nip and tuck the whole way, but unfortunately in this pairs better ball match play format the home side came out on top with a 2 to 1 victory. Winning pair for Melton were Lady Captain Nancy Denny and Avis Webb who finished 1 up.
