Monday 8th April saw the first leg played of the Tasker’s match between MMGC Ladies’ section and Trentham GC, Stoke-on-Trent. After a misty start, the weather turned sunny and it was relatively warm despite the wind. The course looked excellent for this matchplay competition and the ladies from Trentham were suitably impressed with the scenic surroundings and the state of the course. However, they also brought their ‘A’ game as MMGC fell to a 6-1 defeat. Winning MMGC player, ‘Drina Terzza competed well to come in with a 3 and 2 result. MMGC visit Trentham on Friday 12th April for the away leg and there is now all to play for to turn today’s result around.
