Although quieter than previous months due to the planned course maintenance, August has still been buzzing with activity. Final matches have been played across men’s, seniors’ and ladies’ sections in scratch, handicap and friendly leagues. The Lions had their fabulous day, which was well reported in the Melton Times and some welcome rain has meant the course is now greening up nicely. Additionally, the excellent news of capital investment in the drainage scheme in particular and the appointment of a new head chef has meant that the club is looking to a brighter and better future in a very competitive market.
