The Melton course has been in good condition all winter and proved challenging for the first gents qualifying stableford played on Saturday. However, the result was extremely close with three members finishing with 36 points and Brian Cole taking the overall winner prize on count back from Richard South and Andrew Blunt.
Division 1 winner was Paul Gough with 33 points 2 points clear of Jev Goddard on 31. Richarad South won division 2 on count back from Andrew Blunt both with 36 points. Count back also decided Division 3, new member Ricki Curtis winning with 34 points with a better back nine score than Chris Vose to knock him into second spot.
There were 7 two’s on the day, Callum Relf, David Stroud, Mick Wilson, Brian Geeson, Jon 
Baxter, Richard South and Kevin Rate.
