Melton C Team started their 2018 season away at Kirby Muxloe on Wednesday. After the recent rain, the course was in surprisingly good condition although the weather was typical for April with sunshine and showers.
The first Melton pair out was Brendan Boyce and Nigel Blunt who halved their match, followed by Bill Hurrell and Colin Kitchen who won a very close match finishing 1 up.
Roger Alexander and Dave McKain lost 3 and 2 and unfortunately Ian King and David Bailey lost 2 down.
Melton Club Captain Glenn Price playing with Andy Pedlar lost 3 and 1.
Finally, C Team Captain Adrian Green and Ken Longbottom had a closely competitive match which went all the way down to the 18th, but unfortunately they lost 1 down.
Match result: Melton C Team 1 and half points Kirby Muxloe 4 and half points.
