Eight ladies journeyed to the challenging but interesting course at Spalding for the annual 4-way ladies’ match between Spalding Golf Club, Greetham Valley, Belton Woods and MMGC. The event is run as a four-ball Stableford competition with one lady from each club making up each team. Each club player’s score is then added together to determine placement.
This year’s winners were Spalding with a total score of 244, with one player scoring a very creditable 39 points. Melton Ladies came second with a very respectable total score of 208 with Greetham Valley and Belton Woods coming third and fourth respectively.
Spalding laid on an excellent post match meal which was well appreciated by all players and the whole day was a resounding success. Next year, it will be the turn of Greetham Valley to host the event.
