The Classic Car Rally was a great success on Wednesday evening June 17th.  It was touch and go with the weather which threatened rain for most of the afternoon, but we only suffered just the one shower and despite fears that this would put off car owners we did have 54 cars and bikes on display. The display included many types of vehicles from Motorbikes, Cars of many types, convertibles, veteran, sporting, classic plus Old Lorries, Mini Tank and a Bubble Car! All of them obviously lavished with love and attention considering the superb and pristine condition they were all presented in.

The proud owners and the visiting spectators all seemed to enjoy visiting the Club and sampling our facilities. The Bar, BBQ, Restaurant and the Tombola stand were all very busy and along with the car parking & tombola raised nearly £350 for the Alzheimer’s Society; 05-DSCN3423 09-DSCN3427

The event was an undoubted success, much to the delight of Club Captain Brendan Boyce and his volunteer helpers including car enthusiasts Phil and Mick Curtis & Glenn Price. Brendan thanked everyone for their tremendous hard work and support in setting up the event. By popular request, from exhibitors and spectators alike another Rally will take place on Wednesday 16th September – Watch this space for more detail!02-DSCN3420MG Midget & Bubble Car
