On Thursday 16th May, MMGC held the Senior Spring Open and 86 players both members and visitors turned out for this annual event. Some excellent results for a betterball stableford competition were returned. The weather was warmer and there was less wind in the morning, which gave the afternoon competitors something else to think about. The course was in excellent condition with quite a bit of run on both fairways and greens.
The overall winners were: 1st Keith Calver and Mick Weston (Beedles Lake) with 44 points on count back (ocb), 2nd Frank Wren and Neil Pyskun (Beedles Lake) also with 44 points. 3rd Glynn Bramley and Mark Bromfield (Beedles Lake) with 43 points. 4th Melton Pairing of John Harvey and Adrian Grant with 42 points on count back (ocb).
