‘Drina and Sandie, current Lady Captain
On another sun blessed day, 14 Past Lady Captains took part in the annual trophy competition. Previous captains from Melton Mowbray are invited back to play wherever they may be settled now and, in a new addition for this year, ladies who have recently joined our club, but have been Lady Captains elsewhere, were also invited to take part. It provided an excellent opportunity for a competitive outing and a chance for all past Lady Captains to gather to share in the event and enjoy a wonderful afternoon tea. There was an in-house putting competition for ladies unable to play 18 holes and the winner was Margaret Pedge.
Winner of the Closest the Line was Liz Snow, but the overall champion and also winner of Closest the Pin was ‘Drina Terzza.
