18th The last drive
A 3 Ball Am-Am Stableford took place on Saturday 25th February the weather not deterring the regular players. In first place were Matt Catton, Ray Catton and Gary Kitchen with 72 points four points clear of runners up Mark Lewis, Pete Rayers and Keith Tomblin, 68 points. Third placed Anthony Halls, Brian Haines and Alan Hodgkinson finished one back with 67 points. Steve Goddard shot two two’s on the day and shared the two’s sweep with George Boddy, Ray Catton and Matt Catton with single two’s.
The gents four ball yellow ball on 4th February was won by Ken Longbottom, Mark Lewis, Pete Rayers and Keith Tomblin, their score of 145 was eight points ahead of the runners up Jack Inguanta, Matt Thomson, Jon Cliffe and Tim Buxton’s 137. Martin Wheeler, John Harvey, Steve Brown and Chris Shardlow finished in 3rd place with 135. The two’s sweep was shared by Jack Inguanta, Glenn Price, Tim Buxton, Matt Thomson and Mick Cavani.
