Guy Rayson took advantage of the excellent course condition and superb greens to return a gross 74 (lowest of the day) and net 66 to win the first round of The Presidents Putter on Saturday. Guy was two shots clear of runner up Glenn Price’s 68 which he took on count back from third placed Steve Goddard also 68. The two’s sweep was shared by Brian Cole, Glenn Price, Adrian Stokes, Richard Kendall, Mick Wilson, Guy Rayson, Ian Anderson and Callum Relf. Ricki Curtis went one better with a net 65, to secure a 7 shot runaway victory in the 4th round of the Compton Cup Runner up Paul Ward finished with a net 72, just ahead of third placed Malcolm Farrow’s net 73. Details in Score Sheet above
Category one players came to the top in the August 11 Mid Week Stableford, Callum Relf’s good form continuing by taking top spot on count back from Rob Smith, both shooting 39 points.
