In their last match of the season, the Ladies’ handicap team ventured to Forest Hill Golf Club to play this final competition. All three Melton Mowbray pairs had to give shots to the opposition and the weather was once again quite oppressive, making it hard to maintain concentration all the way through to the final holes.
First pair out, Nancy Denny and Jean Moulds managed to secure a half, whilst Sue Hitchman and Karen Middleton unfortunately faded at the last. However, ‘Drina Terzza and Kathie Finn secured a win for the team, making the overall score an honourable draw. The team now has to wait until August 6th to see if they go up into the next group, as they have competed well in all matches.
