Melton Ladies welcomed players from Burghley Park Golf Club on a very hot and sticky day. The course was in great condition, but the weather was extremely oppressive and most ladies walked in once their matches were complete. Although the conditions were tough, some of the matches were closely contested and had to be played to the very end. Melton came away with a 3 to 0 win.
Winning pairs were: Margaret Smale and Janet Bentley 1 up, Liz Clark and Margaret Samways 5 & 4 and Alison Gatward and Maureen McCall 6 and 5.
