On a hot day and sporting their new club team colours, six ladies took on Beedles Lake in the first Handicap match of the 2025 season. The course was very dry with conditions more like mid-summer, so the balls ran well, although not always true.
Tough opposition was expected as MMGC were promoted into the first division at the end of last season, but Alison Savage and Liz Snow won 2 and 1 and Jean Moulds and Kate Britton won 3 and 2. Although Nancy Denny and Jackie Ford lost their match, the Melton Team posted a very welcome overall win.
