On Wednesday 23rd January the Ladies’ section of Melton Mowbray Golf Club held their annual prize presentation. Winners and runners-up from 2018 were congratulated and plaudits were shared by many of the members. Among the winners were Sue Bennett winning the Silverspoons competition and Pam Parker who won the summer nines challenge.
The prize presentation was followed by a lunch and the AGM where Lady Captain for 2018, Sandie Normanton, stood down and was replaced by incoming Lady Captain for 2019, Nancy Denny. Nancy introduced the new Lady Vice Captain, Jackie Fisher and the new Lady President, Julia Brown and the 30 plus ladies who attended enjoyed looking back at the achievements of 2018 and thinking about the season to come with the hope that the summer weather will be equally benevolent.
