Another hot and humid day greeted the Ladies on Wednesday when they met to play for the Jol Calder Salver, another medal competition in July. The greens were still in excellent condition, although there were some unusual bounces on the fairways caused by the course being exceptionally dry.
Margaret Smale shot an impressive nett 68, winning on count back from Jeanette Holland. Karen Middleton came third with a nett 69 and Julia Brown also posted a score to beat standard scratch, resulting in more handicap cuts in the Ladies’ section. It has been a bonanza month for good scoring – keep it up ladies!
