After leaving behind an undefeated month of Seniors fixtures in May, Melton extended their unbeaten run with a close win against Scraptoft.
There were wins for Richard Haines and Joe Carrington, Richard Faubert and Charlie Chapman and Steve Martin and Dick Chapman, with the winning ½ point coming from Colin Kitchen and Jim McQuillam. The final result was 3 ½ to 2 ½.
The weather tried to spoil the party down the front nine with strong winds and driving rain but the sun eventually appeared down the closing holes to bring home the win.
