Club & Lady Captain Brendan & Karen
Club Captain, Brendan Boyce, Club President Owen Cook, Lady Captain, Karen Middleton and Lady President Drina Terzza played in the inaugural regional round of the England Golf Club Team Championships. Played as a four ball team game comprising of two men and two ladies with the best two scores to count the team played in the regional event held at Woodhall Spa. The top six places qualified to play in the National Final. The Melton team scored 69 points to finish 5th overall taking them through to the finals at Frilford Heath on the 14th August.
Club Captain, Brendan was pleased to have won through and said that the ladies played really well and got the team into the finals.
Lady President Drina Terzza, said she was on cloud nine and hadn’t come back down to earth yet! Lady Captain Karen said that it’s the icing on the cake so far for her Captain’s year.
