Mick Cavani Shoots 5 Under Handicap to Win Stableford

The competition season has got well under way with the first qualifying stableford of the season played on Sunday 22nd March. Although the course played long some excellent scores were returned.

Overall Winner Mick Cavani played 5 under handicap scoring 41 points. Junior member Jake Mogg was second with 40 points, also scored by Junior Josh Blunt who had been disqualified for his card not being signed. His Dad, Andrew Blunt was third two points behind on 38 and Steve Goddard fourth on count back from Richard Haines both shooting a level 36 points.

There were 5 two’s on the day, four of them scored on the par 3 5th hole by members, Sam Pollard, Mick Cavani, Jake Mogg and Jev Goddard. Rob Smith shot a two on the par 3 7th.

THE LADIES SECTION also played their first medal of the year on Sunday. Newly returned member Sue Hitchman won by one shot from runner up Gay Cham, Drina Terzza finished third.
