MELTON GC C TEAM v SCRAPTOFT GC C TEAM
Melton Mowbray Golf Club C Team got back to their winning ways after two unexpected defeats, with a good home win against Scraptoft Golf Club. With excellent conditions on the course, it set the scene for some good golf from both sides. With a few very close games, Melton did however come well out on top with a 5 points to 1 point win. The winning pairs were as follows: C Team Captain Adrian Green and Colin Kitchen 4 & 3, Bill Hurrell and new C team player Jim Shaw 4 & 3, Ken Longbottom and Dave Bailey 1 up, Dave Mccain and Andy Pedlar 5 & 4, Ian King and Nigel Blunt 3 & 2.
MMGC SENIOR LADIES v NORTH LUFFENHAM SENIOR LADIES
A friendly match between MMGC Senior Ladies and North Luffenham Senior Ladies took place on Thursday 10th May at Melton Golf Club. Every game was very closely contested and the outcome was a very justified 2 all draw. The Melton Players were as follows: Liz Snow (Captain), Alison Gatward, Janet Bentley, Joan Allen, Jackie Fisher, Avis Webb, Margaret Samways and Margaret Smale. The opposition thanked Liz Snow and Melton GC for their hospitality, a very warm welcome and the excellent condition the course was presented in.
