Melton Mowbray Golf Club’s Professional, Tony Westwood organised an exchange day with the professional from Blankney GC in Lincolnshire. So popular was the event that 47 golfers, both men and women from MMGC, turned out to support his first away day. The format for the day was a Betterball Stableford with teams drawn from 2 pools of high and low handicaps. The weather remained fine throughout the day, with the occasional gusting winds that made the golf a little more testing for all the competitors.The scores returned were very close with all top 5 places decided on count back, as these pairings had all recorded scores of around 41 points. The evening started with a 2 course meal and speeches, followed by a prize presentation ceremony by Tony Westwood who thanked everyone for supporting his day.
