In their latest match at home on Tuesday 10th July, Melton Seniors fought hard against an experienced Ruddington Grange team at Melton. In a previous away fixture in the season, they narrowly lost to Ruddington and certainly did not want to lose another match to them.
It was a very close and nail-biting affair and they all had to wait for the last pairing to come in to settle the match, which was a well earned 4 all draw. The points came from the following pairs: David Wells and Jim McQuillan won 5&4, John Webb and John Squires won 1 up, Don Benzie and Dennis Dayman won 2 & 1 and Haydn Snow playing with Jim Shaw came in with a win 3&2.
