Thursday was another busy day at the Club with 104 players taking part in the Senior Mixed Open the largest entry ever since the competition began. Against the forecast the weather was lovely with the course looking at it’s best and in superb condition with many compliments from the visitors. The winners on the day were The Pheasant Pluckers visitors from Rushcliffe GC who finished with 74 points. Melton teams finished in second and third place, The Beautiful People shot 72 points, and The Postman’s Nurse 68 on count back from fourth placed “The Has Beens” 68 points
Gents Longest Drive went to John Squires, Ladies Longest Drive to Julie Gamble from Lincoln. Steph O’Reilly from Breedon Priory won the ladies nearest the pin and Tom Eadon winning the men’s on the par 3 5th.
Club Captain and Brendan Boyce along with Lady Captain Karen Middleton presented the prizes.
