iors Captain Haydn Snow took 36 golfers to Wollaton Park for his away day. Playing a team game with two to count on the par 4s , 3 on the 5 s and everyone on the par threes scoring was very competitive. The winning team was Gerry Stephens, Ken Longbottom, Julian Kisiel and Alan Terrza.
The prize for nearest the pin in two on the 6th hole was won by Julian Kisiel. Nearest the pin on the 8th was won by Bob Luke with Ken Longbottom winning the longest drive on the par five 15th.
The golf was followed by a meal and prize giving to complete a very enjoyable day out.
A closer finish to the Senior Presidents Cup can’t be remembered by any of the Senior Section. The top 3 places all returned the same score of net 67, Richard Haines, Ron Smith and Robin Jones fighting it out on count back to decide the placings. Stalwart member of the section, Vic Newham won the Senior Stableford on 11 August with a level handicap 36 points. Richard Hutton was second with 34 points and Dave Lander 3rd on 32 Scores Here
