A very enjoyable evening was had by a large number of members and friends, entertained by the Unruly Crew who are a group of local enthusiasts recently formed to entertain at local events, folk clubs and retirement homes.
A selection of maritime songs performed both individually, and as a group, entertained the audience for an hour and a half. They also included stories and anecdotes relating to the songs performed.
The evening concluded with a resounding rendition of the ‘Drunken Sailor’, with full audience participation.
This was a joint venture between the Unruly Crewe and the current Club and Lady Captains of MMGC and we raised £185 in support of the RNLI.
