On what proved to be a better day than forecast, three teams teed off at Melton on Thursday 5th June for the second Handicap match of the season, this time versus Charnwood Forest. The rain abated on the fifth hole and luckily stayed away for the rest of the match. The course was in superb condition.
In the first match, Charnwood got off to strong start and held their advantage for the remainder of the round. However, the two following matches were closely fought. Jean Moulds and ‘Drina Terzza won 2 and 1, thanks to an excellent putt on the 17th by ‘Drina. Julia Brown and Kate Britton also won 2 and 1 and so Melton finished winners 2 matches to 1.
